In addition, we've also been working hard on new products for release in 2021. Since then, we've been keeping busy: growing the business here in the UK expanding into new markets in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand releasing a new edition of Gutterhead developing a Gutterhead Expansion pack and launching a bunch of new games, including the wonderfully wacky Beat That! (family party game) and three new drinking games: Trunk of Drunk, Hen Hamper and Destination Drunk. By the end of the month we had sold through almost all of our initial stock and by Christmas time our story had been picked up by the likes of UNILAD, Loaded and Pretty52. We launched Gutterhead in the UK in August 2017 and the response was incredible. Soon enough the P45's were in the post, our cupboards were overflowing with prototypes, hundreds of hours of playtesting were behind us and we were ready to press "GO" on our first production run. Luckily, however, our friends and family were far more gung-ho about the game, and their support and encouragement pushed us to take Gutterhead to the next level. Initially, Gutterhead was just a passion project as we were preoccupied with our existing careers in architecture and finance. As a result, we were stranded in our apartment and had no other option but to get drunk on cheap Prosecco and invent our first adult board game, Gutterhead. It all started by accident on New Year's Eve 2016 when our plans to go to a friends’ party were quashed by the simultaneous breakdown of both of our cars.
